Haematoin — definition & meaning
Word Type Definition Haematoin n. A substance formed from the hematin of blood, by removal
of the iron through the action of concentrated sulphuric acid. Two like
bodies, called respectively haematoporphyrin and haematolin, are formed
in a similar manner.
